ABOUT

About Moonloop Photography LLC

Moonloop is a partnership started in 2015 by Joe del Tufo and Jim Coarse. Both bring diverse skill sets and a long history of publications, awards and creative techniques to their work. After working together on a number of creative projects, a partnership based on mutual interests, challenges and a willingness to combine and share strengths resulted in a sum greater than its parts. We chose the name Moonloop for a number of reasons, but primarily because the word combines a passion for travel, curiosity, big goals and fun.

Based in the Delaware / Philadelphia area, we have easy access to many incredible locations on the east coast, but are willing to travel and have done shoots from Mexico City, London, Maine, Barbados, Texas, California, Canada and across the Southwest.

Joe @ MoonloopPhoto.com

Joe has been a creative photographer for close to 30 years, with a wide skill set that excels at portraiture, architectural photography, concert/event and landscape work. He considers lighting and color to be key strengths in giving his photography that wow factor.

Joe’s creative work is best known for his color infrared technique that maintains sky color and tones in a traditionally black & white discipline. This work has ended up in magazines, album covers and numerous exhibits over the last decade. A number of del Tufo’s works are on permanent display in locations in Philadelphia, PA and Wilmington, DE. Joe exhibits, teaches and publishes articles on his work throughout the year. He has been a Nikon pro since 2009.

WHERE DOES JOE OFTEN TRAVEL?

If you receive an email from Joe in the middle of the night, it probably means he’s in Iceland. He’s also been known to frequent Banff National Park in Canada, Ireland, Spain and even the Delaware beaches!

WHAT PEAKS JOE’S INTEREST?

Bourbon, beer and burgers. Well… not in that order. But he certainly loves chasing the light and experimenting with some pretty interesting equipment.

Jim @ MoonloopPhoto.com

Jim has been a creative photographer since receiving a Fisher-Price 110 camera for his 5th birthday. Having graduated from the University of the Arts in Center City Philadelphia with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography, Jim has been shooting professionally ever since. He’s spent time photographing everything from race horses to creative wedding photography, portraiture and nature/landscape work.

On an annual basis Jim can be found sailing the Chesapeake Bay, hiking the Green Mountains of Vermont, road tripping Utah, cruising the Caribbean and anywhere in between!

Having grown his own Chester County Pennsylvania based Wedding and Engagement Photography business, Jim has worked diligently to build strong client relationships and deliver a top-of-the-line quality product.

WHERE DOES JIM OFTEN TRAVEL?

Don’t ask him about Utah - it never ends. Our resident Boy Scout can often be found hiking everywhere from Vermont to the Chesapeake Bay or lost at sea on a Caribbean cruise. And don’t ask him to give up the window seat on flights either….

WHAT PEAKS JIM’S INTEREST?

He’s often chasing great cocktails and wrestling whatever dog he can find. He often has an obscure lens in his bag (and decorates his home with vintage cameras).
